Earth Wind and Fire - September

I know this post comes a little late but
Congratulations, President Obama
I'm not an American, but Obama has helped restore my... faith, I guess, in America. I know that many of my friends dislike him because he's a Democrat, because he supports abortion and gay rights, et cetera, but in my non-American opinion, that should be the least of their worries. Obama is the new president for a new century (although, I know, it is 2009).
Now, it's time to wait and see if Obama goes about what he's promised. Have their been so many ungreat presidents that we become suspicious of all candidates? What about Lincoln? What about Roosevelt? I suppose because we're looking back at them in retrospect, we think they were wonderful. Perhaps a hudnred years into the future (if Jesus doesn't come back again), we will think that Bush actually did the right thing by invading Iraq. Maybe. Who knows?
On our part, even if we aren't Americans,
Pray for Obama

She & Him - This is Not a Test

It's a strange phenomenon, Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year sends people to the train stations by the hundreds. (If I'm not wrong, China's expecting 2.5 million people to be travelling around this new year season, recession notwithstanding.)

Chinese New Year sends foreigners hurtling out of the country, determined to escape the freezing cold by holidaying in the south in places like Hainan, Malaysia, Thailand...

Chinese New Year sends the crime rate shooting through the roof with the increase of pickpockets. I'm too tired to explain it.

Chinese New Year sends people scrambling to put gaudy red decorations up. Red is an auspicious Chinese colour... Usually these decorations have a gold "FORTUNE" character painted/pasted on it.

There are a lot of other stuff, but I'm too tired and burned out to type it all down. Forgive my irresponsible, lazy blogging skills.

Hillsong Live - You'll Come

Another music... thingy. Yeah. Haha. I'm bored.

1. Put your iPod on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS

IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY?
Low by Coldplay
(I have a low opinion of the way people do things?? Heh. Half-true. Sorry, you guys. I need to change. That's one of my New Year Resolutions :D)

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
Welcome to the 60's from Hairspray
(Fun, a little quirky, fun to sing, lives in the past... Yeah, that pretty much sums it up :D. Only the singing part means I like to sing... Not I'm fun to sing. 'Cause I'm not a song. Not yet anyway. Like the epic songs. You know, like... Oh never mind.)

WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
Piazza, New York Catcher by Belle & Sebastian
(Um, New Yorker, Scottish accent, kind of down-to-earth - how I view acoustic music- and quirky? Um... Okay. This was sorta hard.)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
Saviour by Tim Hughes & 29th Chapter
(Nice. To praise God and to rely on Him.)

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
Majesty (Here I Am) by Delirious?
(Haha. Yyyeeess.)

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
Great is the Lord by Sam Parker
(Doubt it. Sad. That they'd probably doubt it, I mean.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
Passing Afternoon by Iron & Wine
(Um, sad, depressing things? It's half-true.)

WHAT IS 2+2?
Speed of Sound by Coldplay
(Definitely.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
Remain by Ben Cantelon
(Funny, 'cause one of them recommended me this singer. She praises God all the time :D.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Gold by Interference
(No, I would never trade you for gold, as the song goes.)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
The Reason by Hoobastank
(I guess... I do identify with the lyrics a lot, if you put them in a Christian slant.)

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Fallen from the Sky by Glen Hansard
(Yeah, an Irish musician who plays awesome songs on tiny Wurlitzers. Awesome. My life's dream.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Black Balloon by Goo Goo Dolls
(Umm... o.O? This song is supposedly about a heroin-addict... Yeah. I do not like a junkie - I promise.)

WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
With Everything by Hillsong Live
(Ehh.)

WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
Who I Am Hates Who I've Been by Relient K
(What???)

WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
Strawberry Swing by Coldplay
(This is getting really bizarre.)

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
Wholly Yours by David Crowder Band
(God? Christianity?)

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
True Love's Kiss from Enchanted
(Yyeeahh...)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
Here I Am to Worship/Call by Hillsong
(They're mostly Christians?)

WHAT'S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN?
Fix You by Coldplay
(Aww... Listen to the song - it says it all.)

HOW WILL YOU DIE?
Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional
(Um... It makes sense in my head.)

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU REGRET?
Wenn Du Lachst by Juli
(Seeing as to how this song is in German, I have no idea. Maybe I've repeated my regretable mistake so many times I've no idea what it is because I'm so numb.)

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
Give a Little Bit by Goo Goo Dolls
(Uh... Yeah.)

WHAT MAKES YOU CRY?
Consuming Fire by Tim Hughes
(God just using all of me. Tears of joy, then.)

WILL YOU EVER GET MARRIED?
I Eat Dinner by Rufus Wainwright feat. Dido
(Um. Yes?)

WHAT SCARES YOU THE MOST?
It Takes Two from Hairspray
(Aahh!! Going through life alone? I'll never find my other half??)

DOES ANYONE LIKE YOU?
There She Goes by Sixpence None the Richer
(Uh... I guess this is what they think when I walk past? I don't think anyone likes me.)

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
Lost! by Coldplay
(I'll go back and protect my younger self from getting lost and hurt in the world.)

WHAT HURTS RIGHT NOW?
I'm Not Alright by Sanctus Real
(True. Everything hurts, but it's leading me to Him. Slowly.)

WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS?
You'll Come by Hillsong Live
